graduation

laura: little church flower {FSU grad}

Laura may be one of the funniest people I have ever met. I can’t explain it, you know those people who, no matter what they say or what facial expression they make, they’re just hilarious? That’s Laura. And she brought Erika, who is also one of those people, so we had a grand ole time haha! And, might I add, she made those flower crowns on their heads, which are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen {I’m a sucker for a good flower crown}.When we were outside, two friends walked by so, of course, Laura and Erika put the flower crowns on them haha! They were really good sports about it.

Laura has a beautiful devotion to Mama Mary, which you can see in this shoot {I think the picture of Laura and Mary is one of my new favorite photos ever}. I love that she chose to do her photoshoot at the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More, where she {and I} spent most of our time at Florida State. Since we had the church to ourselves, she sang praises to Jesus and these photos are just so genuinely her.

Scroll all the way down to read a little about Laura!

LAURA

Major: Family and Child Sciences
Minor: Social Work

When was the moment that you thought “heck yeah, I want to go to Florida State”?
Oh goodness. I actually just kinda ended up at FSU. I grew up in Tally and when it came time to go to college…FSU was right there down the street.

The question everyone has been asking you over and over again, what’s next?!
Whatever the sweet Lord wills, hopefully I’ll be paying attention and have enough courage to follow through. But I’m working at a doctor’s office right now, saving up money, and hopefully going back to school for either nursing or some kind of health care field training. I, eventually, would love to do some kind of missionary work that would include this training.

What’s one thing you need to have in your fridge at all times?
One thing…oh goodness, if you know me you know I love food and this is a hard question. But a must, which may sound very odd, is raw carrots. I just love ’em. I swear one day I’m going to turn orange.

What’s the best thing that happened you today?
The best thing that has happened to me today would be when I was at work. I had an elderly patient tell me a story of how he met his wife when he was 23 in 1948 whilst on a spontaneous adventure with friends. I love that kind of thing, listening to people tell their stories.

This is the last grad shoot for now {hurrah for completion!}. Thank you, Jesus, for the gift of laughter, and for the joy that these photo shoots have brought to my heart. On to the next adventure!

Toodlepip, friends!
